John Jaqua

John has been a featured vocal soloist with the Oregon and Seattle Symphonies. He has experience in Opera and Music Theater throughout the Northwest, where his leading tenor roles in La Boheme, Carmen, Don Giovanni, West Side Story and Student Prince were met with critical acclaim. John was also a select member of the Robert Shaw Chamber Choir in France and Carnegie Hall. While living in Los Angeles, John performed with Mary Steiger for the NAS Showcase at The Troubadour on Sunset Boulevard.

In addition to performing, recording, and composing with local artists, John taught music at the Pacific Hills School in Beverly Hills. He first began teaching music at The Catlin Gabel School in Portland and directing choirs at the Milwaukie Presbyterian Church. John graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a BA in Music. In the spring of 2000, he attended the ACDA National Convention in San Antonio and performed with the Robert Shaw Tribute Choir. John attended the NMTA National Convention in Seattle in March of 2006. A nationally licensed soccer coach, John also plays with the Corinthians Soccer Club.
